Aggression Demystified There are two components that come into play when considering the impact of aggression on matches, namely Player Aggression and teamsheet Aggression. Player Aggression is a player attribute (a stat) in your roster and ranges between 1 and 50, with 1 being super low and 50 being super high. Teamsheet Aggression is a setting you enter in a teamsheet between 1 (super low) and 20 (super high), and it is meant to indicate how fired up your players are at that stage of the match. Teamsheet Aggression can be changed during a match by using conditionals in your teamsheet (eg CHANGEAGG 15 MIN = 30) If Teamsheet Aggression is not set, it defaults to 10. During the match the total aggression of all your side’s players on the pitch (normally eleven but can reduce with red cards and/or injuries) is totalled and then combined with your Teamsheet Aggression as follows total = (SumOfPlayerAggressions x 0.75) + (0.025 x TeamsheetAggSetting x SumOfPlayerAggressions) Examples Scenario 1: Calm, gentle players and low Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 5 (say) Player Aggression = 55 Teamsheet Aggression = 1 total = (55 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 1 x 55) = 42.625 {the theoretical minimum with 11 players at 1 Player Aggression and 1 Teamsheet Aggression is 8.525} Scenario 2: Average Player Aggression with low Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 25 (say) Player Aggression = 275 Teamsheet Aggression = 1 total = (275 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 1 x 275) = 213.125 Scenario 3: Psycho players with low Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 45 (say) Player Aggression = 495 Teamsheet Aggression = 1 total = (495 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 1 x 495) = 383.625 Scenario 4: Calm, gentle players with middling Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 5 (say) Player Aggression = 55 Teamsheet Aggression = 10 total = (55 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 10 x 55) = 55 Scenario 5: Average Player Aggression with middling Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 25 (say) Player Aggression = 275 Teamsheet Aggression = 10 total = (275 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 10 x 275) = 275 Scenario 6: Psycho players with middling Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 45 (say) Player Aggression = 495 Teamsheet Aggression = 10 total = (495 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 10 x 495) = 495 Scenario 7: Calm, gentle players with maximum Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 5 (say) Player Aggression = 55 Teamsheet Aggression = 20 total = (55 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 20 x 55) = 68.75 Scenario 8: Average Player Aggression with maximum Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 25 (say) Player Aggression = 275 Teamsheet Aggression = 20 total = (275 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 20 x 275) = 343.75 Scenario 9: Psycho players with maximum Teamsheet Aggression 11 players with 45 (say) Player Aggression = 495 Teamsheet Aggression = 20 total = (495 x 0.75) + (0.025 x 20 x 495) = 618.75 {the theoretical maximum with 11 players at 50 Player Aggression and 1 Teamsheet Aggression is 687.5} So the total aggression calculated for a team in a match can vary between 8.5 and 687.5 Aggression does not alter with fatigue during a match. Summary of Total Calculated Aggression 9 : Minimum 43 : Low agg players, teamsheet agg = 1 55 : Low agg players, teamsheet agg = 10 69 : Low agg players, teamsheet agg = 20 213 : Average agg players, teamsheet agg = 1 275 : Average agg players, teamsheet agg = 10 343 : Average agg players, teamsheet agg = 20 384 : Very high agg players, teamsheet agg = 1 495 : Very high agg players, teamsheet agg = 10 619 : Very high agg players, teamsheet agg = 20 688 : Maximum It can be seen that the total of the starting player aggressions has more impact than the teamsheet aggression setting How is the calculated total aggression used during a match? 1) The chance of a side committing a foul Every minute of the match a side has a chance of committing a foul. This chance is Chance = ((total calculated aggression x 13/16) + 100) / 100% So the maximum chance is ((687.5 x 13/16) + 100)/100 = 658.6/100 = 6.6% every minute And the minimum chance is (8.525 x 13/16) + 100 = 106.9/100 = 1.07% every minute An average side (25 agg each) with 10 teamsheet aggression has a 3.23% chance per minute of committing a foul So player and teamsheet aggressions will alter your sides chance of committing a foul, every match minute between 1% and 6% If a foul occurs, several things can happen for instance - a penalty, a yellow card (which could jusy happen to be a second yellow card for a player...) or a red card. 2) The chance of an OPPONENT getting injured Every minute of the match a side has a chance of one of their players becoming injured This chance depends on the opponents total aggression, not their own chance = (150 + opponent’s total calculated aggression/10000)% so the maximum is (150 + 687.5)/10000 = 0.084% and the maximum is (150 + 8.525)/10000 = 0.016% If a player is not injured, there is also a chance that a player receives a knock, but can carry on. This is NOT an injury that then turns into just a knock, but occurs if an injury does not. chance = (500 + opponent’s total calculated aggression/10000)% so the maximum is (150 + 687.5)/10000 = 0.119% and the maximum is (500 + 8.525)/10000 = 0.051% An average side (25 agg each) with 10 teamsheet aggression has a 0.0775% chance per minute of injuring an opponent 3) The chance of a side having an attempt on goal (an attack) Every minute of the match a side has a chance of an attack on their opponents goal. It may subsequently be tackled, or a shot may miss or may be saved, but it will prompt a series of lines in the match commentary - the stuff matches are made of. The chance of an attack is mainly down to the relative strengths of the two sides playing, with the player stats modified by position and tactic, and totalled, but Total Aggression does come into the equation, albeit in a pretty minor way. Chance = 1.65 x (total calculated aggress/50) + 800 x ( (1 / 3.1 x total shooting + 2/3.1 x total passing) / (opponents total tackling + 1) ) squared) If we assume 100 tk, 130 ps and 70 sh points per side then we have maximum and minimum chances per minute, based on maximum and minimum aggression in this situation, of 14.89% and 14.67% Variations in shooting, passing and tackling will cause these chances to vary a good deal more. Tunnelling into the impact of just Teamsheet Aggression on an average player aggression side (25 per player) with the stat totals above (100 tk, 130 ps and 70 sh points per side) we see that the chance of a shot ranges from 14.73% for 1 agg, to 14.74% for 5 agg, 14.75% for 10 agg, 14.77% for 15 agg and 14.78% for 20 agg
